Meditation techniques for achieving natural beauty
Breath work is known as nature’s tranquilizer. Conscious rhythmic breathing has been around for centuries, known as “Prana” in Sanskrit, “Chi” in Chinese medicine, “Ki” in Japanese culture and “Life force” in the western world, these energies traverse all the cells and tissues of our body and slowly flood them with energy and vitality. Most of us take breathing for granted, causing us to shallow breath, which restricts the amount of oxygen we draw into our lungs. In order to have an open mind-body-spirit connection it is important to become conscious, not so much of our breathing but the way we breathe, when experiencing meditation it allows for the even distribution of oxygen to all parts of the body.
Benefits: Brings about clarity, helping to bring us into the present moment. Blood flow throughout the body is regulated properly, which increases the overall effectiveness of the organs in the body. Assists in the psychological processes, such as alleviating symptoms of anxiety and stress. Heart rate can be drastically reduced, assisting in complications that can result from a high heart rate, such as high blood pressure or “hypertension”. By inhaling deeply more oxygen enters our lungs, cleansing the nervous system and increasing the flow of spinal fluid to the brain and skin.
Technique: To begin it’s advisable to practice this without external noise and distraction. A good meditation posture becomes the basis for the crystal clarity of awakened awareness so it’s important to find a comfortable place to relax. Start by sitting with the spine straight and muscles relaxed, with the mind free from thought, its easier to focus on your breathing, if you find your mind does occasionally wander, just keep bringing your attention back to your breathing. Start by breathing in for 3 and breath out 5 seconds on the outward breath, the chest and diaphragm muscles should become completely relaxed.
Meditation. The great thing about mediation is that you can take it with you anywhere, and it is deceptively simple, how long or how often, is completely up to the individual person, but it’s a good idea to build this into your routine daily. These techniques help restore us to a state of natural beauty, by being still and taking the time to reflect on our thoughts it is a wonderful healing process for the whole body with endless benefits. By slowly changing our habits and setting aside a few minutes a day, through conscious rhythmic breathing we can begin to unlock the bodies energy and re-direct it to renewal to areas that have become dormant and imbalanced.
