You may be asked to keep a food diary, though many trainers will rely upon you to make a rough guess on how much you eat. By looking into your diet they will be able to see what changes need to be made and whether you are eating the right foods.
Another thing that they will look at is your current weight, your height and other relevant statistics such as any health problems that you may have. This assessment is usually free of charge and it enables you to get to know the trainer. This will help you to see if you get on well together.
Creating a Plan
Once the trainer has a good idea of how you live, they will then create a plan to help you. This will have healthy eating tips and a schedule for exercises that you should be doing. The trainer is there to motivate you and they will often make you exercise when you really don’t want to. With a weight gain plan the exercises will focus more upon toning the body and building up muscles. On the whole, fitness trainers can definitely be worthwhile!
